The EPZ Authority has participated in commercial negotiations held between a delegation of about 30 businessmen and investors from Saudi Arabia and Tanzanians.

The official guest at the event Hon. Minister of State ORMU, Prof. Kitila Mkumbo (MP) who met the Minister of Industry and Trade, Deputy Ministers of Energy and Transport and Secretaries General of ORMU and Agriculture.

The Saudi delegation has assured Hon. minister that, their coming to this country means business, and make a good use of diplomatic relations environment, political stability, investment opportunities, market opportunities in Tanzania and East Africa in general. The delegation has proposed to have a special SEZ for Investment and Trade to serve the East African and Saud Arabia Market. The delegation has also shown the sentiments of investing in the port of Bagamoyo, meat processing and agriculture.
