Permanent Secretary from the Presidents office, Reginal Administration and Local Government; Prof. Riziki Shemdoe, Deputy Permanent Secretary - Industry and Trade; Dr. Hashil Twalib and Director General of EPZA; Charles Itembe together with other Government officers on 15 October 2022, when they visited Kwala Special Economic Zone with a size of 100 Acres in the Coastal Region. During the visit, they agreed to put signs that identify the area easily. The Government through EPZA intends to allocate factory plots and invite investors to establish different projects that will generate employment opportunities and utilization of our local produced raw materials for export. Plans to put up basic infrastructures is going on.
