Director of Investment Promotion and Facilitation Mr. James Maziku on behalf of the Director General of EPZA has received a visit from the people's Government of Hunan province led by Mr. Zhou Yixing who is the Deputy Secretary province, accompanied the leaders in private sector from China.

This visit resulted from H.E. Dr. Samia S. Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania,visit in China, aimed at strengthening the diplomatic and economic relations between Tanzania and China.

Mr. James has further explained that the trade relationship between Tanzania and China has been largely expanded in 2023 where sales to that country reached 6.7 billion US Dollars, and the way the relationship between these countries is getting stronger there are signs that business volume will increase.

In addition Mr. Maziku identified that the priority sectors at present in terms of investment include Agriculture, Medicines, Medical Equipment, the Manufacturing Sector, as well as the Service Sector." Investors are encouraged to invest in these sectors in order to take advantage of the opportunities available in Tanzania.
